Iglekärr close to final financing

Iglekärrs old-growth forest has been the subject of our fundraising since 2012 and some thought we wouldn't see the end of it for several years yet. But we've been working on a faster solution, which is also now almost ready. We can't say any more than that for confidentiality reasons at the moment, but keep checking back to our website and to our Facebook page every day and we will let you know when everything is ready. You won't miss it, rest assured.

Our fundraising is now instead focused on the next forest, which we hope will be Våneviks old-growth forest in Kalmar County south of Oskarshamn. There are no contracts or even loose agreements there yet, but rather a tone of goodwill and open doors in talks with the municipality, which owns the area today and has plans to develop the area as villa plots. It is therefore particularly important that you show your support for Naturarvet, preferably as forest patron, so that we can present ourselves as a financially strong buyer for the municipality. Please also take the opportunity to become a customer club member of Naturkompaniet by 15 March to vote for our project to protect Våneviks old-growth forest as the recipient of the Nature Bonus this year. It could go a long way towards helping us pay for several acres of the forest.

The calculator on the click now counts upwards to the next forest. So far it's clicks that count, but in the spring we hope to add much larger sums. But you'll have to wait for that until everything is done with Iglekärr and we know more about what the Natural Heritage finances look like. All we can say is that at the moment they look good. And in order to be able to protect Våneviks old-growth forest and more old-growth forests soon, it is important that we help to make sure that the finances look even better in the future.

Sponsors for the click we'll have plenty for a while so it's good to make sure you click every day and that more and more people start clicking. What we also need to strengthen is our fundraising base, i.e. more woodland adopters. Become forest patron today! A 50-pp a month or more is a small but nice contribution to building a natural heritage of Swedish old-growth forest that is preserved for all future generations. It really is leaving something of value behind. Forests that for all time have zero value for industry and only have value for nature itself and for people's well-being when we get to enjoy the beauty of untouched nature. Here is some of that beauty in winter glory. Pine thistle, a red-listed species that only grows on old pine trees.
