Naturarvet in the media

ATL has on Thursday 13/2 an article on Naturarvet. Briefly it describes the activities of the Natural Heritage and that we are looking for old-growth forest to buy but that it is not easy to find.

The interviewer also asks a question about the Natural Heritage's claim that it is good for the climate to protect old-growth forest . To this, Lo jarl, the director of the operation, replies:

- Opinions differ somewhat, but there is a broad consensus in ecological research that one of the first steps to effectively slowing climate change is to protect all the world's natural forests immediately. In Sweden, most of the carbon is stored in the soil and fungi, along with trees and other plants, continue to store carbon for thousands of years. I am an ecologist so I rely on ecological research.
