Welcome, Helena

We are pleased to welcome Helena Wiktor to Naturarvet. Helena shares the role with our current executive director Lotta Ihse, which means that there are still two executive directors who jointly manage and develop Naturarvet's operations.

Helena is an economist, behavioral scientist, and sustainability strategist with over 20 years of experience leading change and developing sustainable operations. She has a broad background in areas such as economics, administration, communication, and strategic sustainability work.

But it is above all her strong connection to the forest and her commitment to nature that make the move to Naturarvet seem so natural.

“I grew up and am deeply rooted in the forests of Värmland. The forest has always been my anchor, and now being able to combine that passion with my professional experience at Naturarvet feels fantastic, says Helena.

Helena is passionate about sustainable and regenerative development—an approach that involves more than just reducing our environmental impact. It’s also about creating the conditions for life, recovery, and long-term change. At Naturarvet , Helena will contribute her experience in finance and business development, as well as in communications, web development, and strategic sustainability work.

– Preserving Sweden’s last unprotected old-growth forests is one of the most urgent and meaningful tasks of our time. I am incredibly happy and proud to be working alongside Naturarvet’s donors and partners to ensure that these priceless ecosystems are protected for all time.

We extend a warm welcome to Helena at Naturarvet and look forward to continuing our work together to protect Sweden’s old-growth forests!
