The collection for skarn hole old-growth forest is going according to plan. Our first area with forest plots and our umbrella trees have been popular and are temporarily sold out. New ones forest plots have been installed and new umbrella trees will be documented in May and installed before midsummer.
In May we will do a survey and hopefully the process of land registration will go faster than for Solliden. However, the inclusion of Skarnhålan in Ekliden Nature Reserve will be delayed until at least 2020 due to budget cuts to nature conservation in the 2018 autumn budget passed by Parliament, as the County Administrative Board's funding for nature protection has been significantly reduced.
So we have plenty of time to continue the fundraising for Skarnhålans old-growth forest. If it overshoots the target, we will put the excess money in the pot for the next forest.
