We hope you’ve had a pleasant and relaxing summer. Perhaps you’ve visited a old-growth forest, enjoyed refreshing swims and sun-ripened berries, discovered exciting species, or simply taken a moment to unwind amid the chirping of birds and the buzz of summer?
Here at Naturarvet , the light of diligence has been shining, and we’re working behind the scenes to constantly spread the word about us, search for more unprotected old-growth forests, and find ways to make it easier for you to support us.
We would also like to extend a warm welcome to our new colleague—Helena Wiktor. She will be sharing the role of executive director with Lotta Ihse. Helena grew up in the forests of Värmland and is deeply committed to forests and nature. We look forward to an exciting fall and to getting started with our work.
There is an urgent need to preserve Sweden’s last remaining old-growth forests, so we need to further strengthen our organization. That is why we are looking formore dedicated board members—preferably with experience and expertise in forest acquisitions, fundraising, finance, real estate matters, real estate law, and/or ecology. Please contact us atrekrytering@naturarvet.se.
We’d also like to invite you to join“Skapande för gammelskogen”(Creativityfor the Old-Growth Forest). It’s a campaign leading up to the 2026 holiday shopping season where you sell your own creations and donate all or part of the proceeds to Naturarvet. One person who’s doing just that isLina. She crochets cell phone and eyeglass cases, and the proceeds go to Naturarvet. We think that’s absolutely wonderful.
We are so grateful that you support the old-growth forest.
Forest greetings
Naturarvet
