6. Ten square metres for every hundred

Naturarvet creates a tangible, measurable impact from every penny.
- Forests cost differently to buy in different parts of the country and depending on other values that are taken into account in valuation. Historically, Naturarvet including our administrative costs of collection and management has had an outturn of about 10 square metres conserved old-growth forest for every hundred pounds. And those square meters are guaranteed space preserved in perpetuity through Naturarvet ownership. Calculated protected area per penny collected actually gives an effect of 16 square meters for every hundred dollars collected. The government has liked a couple of our forests and has contributed the rest when they have become nature reserves.
