Naturarvet exists for those of us who want to take action to preserve Sweden’s valuable old-growth forest. The foundation was registered on January 15 of 2004, under the name Ett klick för skogen. The foundation is not-for-profit and has a 90-account to ensure that any money collected will not be used for unreasonable expenses, and that at least 75% is used for the intended purpose. The foundation’s structure and regulations ensure that forest acquired by the foundation is kept safe for all time.
Naturarvet was founded in 2004 under the name “Ett klick för skogen” (A click for the forest). The name referred to the “click-button,” the foundation’s main fundraising mechanism at the time.
Purpose and regulations
Our goal is that all of Sweden’s animal- and plant-species that depend on old-growth forest for their survival will be able to live in a safe environment, and maintain a healthy population.

Naturarvet has a so-called 90-account. It means that we are under the scrutiny of Swedish Fundraising Control and that we follow the regulations that have been set, above all that the collected money is used for the foundation’s purposes without any unreasonable expenses.
FRII:s quality code
Frivilligorganisationernas Insamlingsråd (the NGO Fundraising Council), FRII, have put together a quality code for Swedish fundraising organisations in order to increase the transparency and ease of access within the organisations, and thereby strengthen the credibility of organisations that follow the code. Other purposes are increased professionalism, improved management, governing and control, and ensuring that there are structures in place for the evaluation of organisational activity.
